Printing & Copying
Having our own production facility has allowed us to provide the campus with high-quality printing at low prices. We take pride in our craftsmanship and our attention to quality and detail. Our print staff is experienced and knowledgeable, taking the extra steps to insure your project is done right and on time. We can produce from one-color spot projects to four-color process projects and everything in between. In addition to printing official business stationery for the University, we specialize in the following types of printing:
• Digital Printing
• Offset Printing
• Plans & Specs
• Marketing Campaigns
• Course Readers
• Exam Printing
• Mainframe Printing
• Secure/Confidential Printing
When we receive print projects that exceed our internal production capability, we have outside MBE/SBE vendors who share our commitment to cost-effectiveness, quality and response. We have negotiated trade discounts and will provide estimates for your approval.
You realize all the convenience without the hassles. We will assume total project management, handle any required press-checks, coordinate approvals, and make cost-saving suggestions.
Using high-speed digital copying equipment, Documents & Media provides fast, cost-effective color and black & white copying. Our standard turnaround time for most copy jobs is just 24 hours. If you need your project sooner, we offer rush and even super rush, while-you-wait service.
We carry a wide variety of paper stocks, including colored cover and text weights, textured papers and tabs. And the copies are only part of the package. We offer a variety of binding options, including comb, tape, FastBack and velo binding, as well as hard-cover book binding, complete with attractive foil-stamped spines and covers. We are pros at folding, inserting, stuffing or any type of hand-labor.
We can even help you create over-size posters or banners, perfect for the classroom, seminar or conference. You can provide us with hard copy originals or a digital file (PDF with embedded fonts is best) of your project if you prefer. From course readers to flyers, from posters to forms, we have your copying needs covered.
When to Print / When to Copy?
The traditional, clear lines of demarcation between printing and copying have been bending, reshaping and even disappearing in some cases due to the increase in quality and speed in digital printing and copying equipment.
Some types of print projects that were once only suitable for an offset press can now be run more affordably on digital equipment without compromising on quality or turnaround time. Because of our access to varied equipment, including both traditional presses and state-of-the-art digital presses and copiers, Documents & Media is able to offer you the best of both worlds.
For more information, please contact our Print Coordinators. They can tell you whether offset printing or digital printing/copying would be your best choice for your project.
