Your contract expires on July 1st, 2008 and in order to remain in UCSF Housing after this date, you must formally notify us of your intention to remain in the UCSF Housing system.

Housing Services has established this website to help you understand all of your options for housing in the 2008 – 2009 term. It may seem early to begin planning for next term’s housing, but Housing Services is required to estimate the number of vacancies we will have for incoming students and we are unable to do that without first knowing your intentions. Additionally, we will begin assigning those spaces vacated on July 1 to new UCSF affiliates as early as May 1st. In order to give our current tenants first priority for any spaces being vacated on July 1, we must begin this early. We thank you for your cooperation and participation.

Please carefully review the links below. Once you have decided which group reflects your intentions, print out the appropriate Housing Intent Form and return it to the Housing Services Office by 5pm on Friday, February 22nd.

If you do not return a Housing Intent form by 5pm on Friday, February 22nd, you are declaring your intention to leave UCSF Housing at the end of your contract term. After Friday, February 22nd, your apartment/ room may be rented to another person for the 08-09 term.

FACULTY MEMBERS: If you are on a Faculty Contract, you should not participate in this process. If you have questions about your contract terms or housing situation, please contact your Housing Services Office.

Group 1 - I wish to remain in the same apartment or room for the 2008 – 2009 term (July 1, 2008 – July 1, 2009).

Group 2a - I am a Parnassus Campus tenant currently living in a double room (i.e. share a bedroom with another contract holder), and I wish to transfer into a single room on the Parnassus Campus for the 2008 – 2009 term (July 1, 2008 – July 1, 2009).

Group 2b - I am a Parnassus Campus tenant living at 1362 3rd Avenue, which is being remodeled during the summer of 2008. I wish to transfer to a different unit at Parnassus for the 2008 – 2009 term (July 1, 2008 – July 1, 2009).

Group 3a - I am a UCSF affiliate and wish to transfer to a different unit for the 2008 – 2009 term (July 1, 2008 – July 1, 2009).

Group 3b - I am an Affiliate of UC Hastings, the California College of the Arts (CCA), Golden Gate University (GGU) or the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI); I wish to transfer to a different unit for the 2008 – 2009 term (July 1, 2008 – July 1, 2009).

Group 4 - I wish to return to UCSF Housing at a later date after the contract expires on July 1, 2008.

Group 5 - I wish to end my current contract prior to July 1, 2008 and will not seek UCSF Housing in the 2008 – 2009 term. I would like to apply for early termination.

Group 6 - I do not wish to return to UCSF Housing in the future after the contract expires on July 1, 2008.

OR - I wish to remain in my current apartment for a short temporary period after my contract expires on July 1, 2008. Please consider me for an exception because I am taking state exams.
