Tenants who wish to be released early from their contract and move out prior to July 1st, 2009 should elect to be in Group 5. Tenants in Group 5 will not be offered apartments for the 2009 - 20010 term.

As outlined in the contract agreement, tenants may end their current contract prior to July 1, 2009 only under limited circumstances (i.e. graduation, disaffiliation from the university, change in marital status, etc.). Please review your contract for specific information about the termination policy and to ensure you qualify. You will find copies of the current tenant contract by clicking here. You will be asked for appropriate documentation before being released from your contract.

Housing Services encourages tenants in Group 5 to notify Housing of their departure date as soon as possible. There is high demand for Housing in the spring and early summer months but often limited availability. By informing Housing Services about your departure plans as early as possible, you will be helping new UCSF affiliates secure much needed housing.

Please note: If you wish to end your contract early by finding a replacement tenant, Housing Services strongly encourages you to contact your Housing office as soon as possible. If a transferring tenant selects your room for the 2009 - 2010 term, we might not be able to find a replacement tenant for the short-term interim.
